Small Display Stand With Hooks Case Study for Space Saving Holiday Gift Promotion
Project Background
As the holiday gift sales season in Europe and the United States was approaching in spring 2026, an American retail client faced many troubles when selling small goods like keychains, scented hanging cards, cultural and creative stickers and tiny ornaments. Their store counters were always overcrowded. They failed to make good use of counter space and could not show their products clearly to shoppers. For these reasons, the client needed a custom small corrugated cardboard display stand with hooks. This stand had to save space, be easy to put together and fit holiday sales activities.

Important Note: We signed a non-disclosure agreement with the client, so we will not share the client’s company name in this case study. All photos of display stands and gifts in this article are only for reference. They are not pictures of the client’s real products or customized racks. We will never leak any of the client’s business information.
Nico, our sales specialist, took charge of the whole project alone. He communicated with the client about demands, designed solutions and followed up production and delivery. Finally, we provided the client with a low-cost, high-efficiency display plan that made the most of counter space for holiday gift sales.
Whole Project Process (Arranged by Timeline)
March 2, 2026: Receive Inquiry from the US Client and Confirm Basic Needs
On this day, Nico got the inquiry from the American client. He quickly sorted out the client’s main requirements. The client wanted a small corrugated cardboard display stand with hooks. They planned to place it on counters in local supermarkets and gift shops across the US for holiday gift sales. Their biggest needs were saving counter space and showing many kinds of small gifts neatly.
Nico recorded key details such as the expected order quantity, required delivery time and available counter space. He built a special file for this project. Within one hour, Nico sent a reply in English to confirm that we had received the inquiry. He also asked the client to share reference pictures, the size of gifts to hang and space limits so we could move forward with detailed communication.
March 3 – March 5, 2026: Deepen Communication and Design Structural Plans
Nico talked with the American client many times through emails and instant messaging tools to lock down all custom details:
- Size: We designed a desktop counter model to take up as little counter space as possible.
- Structure: The main body was made of corrugated cardboard with several rows of hooks for hanging small gifts. We also left an area at the bottom for brand logos and sales notices.
- Material: We chose strong E-flute corrugated cardboard. This material is eco-friendly, recyclable and meets environmental rules in the US. It can safely hold the weight of small hanging gifts.
- Design Style: We could print the client’s brand logo and holiday-themed patterns to match the atmosphere of holiday sales in the US.
Our design team drew three different structural drafts. Nico turned these drafts into English documents and sent them to the client. He patiently answered questions about load-bearing ability, assembly steps and storage during transportation. In the end, both sides chose the best design plan.
March 6 – March 8, 2026: Calculate Quotation and Sign Business Contract
Based on the confirmed structure, material, printing methods and order amount, Nico calculated all costs including raw materials, sample making, mass production, packaging and international shipping. He made a detailed quotation sheet in English and clearly wrote down delivery time, payment rules, quality standards and confidentiality terms.
After we slightly adjusted one detail following the client’s advice, we reached an agreement quickly and signed the official business contract. The project officially entered the production stage. We also added confidentiality rules in the contract to fully protect the client’s business information.
March 9 – March 12, 2026: Make Samples, Run Tests and Get Client Confirmation
Our factory made one blank sample and one printed sample strictly according to the confirmed design. We carried out many tests: weight-bearing tests, hook firmness tests, assembly tests and space occupation tests. The test results showed this display stand took up very little counter space. It saved more than 60% counter space compared with traditional display ways and fully satisfied the client’s space-saving demand.
Nico took clear videos and photos of the samples and sent them to the US client. We also mailed physical samples overseas. After checking everything, the client found no problems and confirmed the samples officially. We then started mass production.
March 13 – March 25, 2026: Mass Production and Strict Quality Control
Our production line began to work according to the confirmed samples. Workers finished every step carefully: cutting corrugated cardboard, high-definition printing, film covering, installing hooks and folding the stands into fixed shapes. Our quality check team inspected every product strictly.
Nico tracked production progress every day and shared the latest updates with the American client. He randomly checked product sizes, printing effects and structural stability to make sure all finished products were the same as the confirmed samples. We promised no damaged goods and on-time delivery.
March 26 – March 28, 2026: Flat Packing, Shipment and International Logistics Tracking
We packed all display stands in flat folded packages. This packing way greatly cut down shipping space and international transport costs. It also made it easy for the client to store goods after receiving the shipment.
Nico double-checked order quantities, shipping marks and packing lists. He cooperated with professional international logistics companies and tracked every step including goods leaving our factory, customs declaration and overseas transportation. Nico sent real-time shipping information to the client regularly.
March 29 – April 2, 2026: Client Receives Goods, Completes Inspection and Finishes the Project
The American client received the goods smoothly and opened all packages for inspection. Workers can assemble these display stands quickly. The hooks stay tight and hold gifts safely. All products look tidy and attractive on counters. The space-saving effect was much better than the client expected. This display stand perfectly fit their holiday gift sales and greatly improved counter use rate and product exposure.
The client spoke highly of our product quality, on-time delivery, one-on-one service from Nico and our strict protection of their confidential business information. This project ended successfully.
