Pop-up Store Paper Display Stand Case Study
We’ve had this case for a while, but we never got around to sharing it. The client is from the US again, and our dear Alina handled everything from start to finish. Let’s give Alina a big thumbs up—her professionalism and dedication won the client’s trust. Now, Topwon will show you this summer pop-up store cardboard display project and how we helped the client build a popular pop-up store.

May 2024: Urgent Need, Alina Responds Quickly
A famous US fast fashion brand planned to open a 6-week summer pop-up store in the core business district of Manhattan, New York. It focused on tropical-style clothes. When they contacted Topwon, there was only 1 month left before the opening, so the need was very urgent.

The client put forward four key requirements: first, a complete in-store display system, including clothing racks, window installations, cash registers and brand signs. All displays had to be installed on-site in 24 hours without any permanent decoration; second, the displays had to fit the summer tropical theme, look nice, attract passers-by to take photos and help attract traffic through social media; third, they had to follow the brand’s environmental concept, so all display materials must be 100% recyclable; fourth, control costs—since it was a short-term pop-up store, they didn’t want to spend too much on displays.
After receiving the request, Alina didn’t hesitate. She took the lead in contacting the client, sorted out the details of their needs, worked late to discuss initial ideas, and sent a preliminary response plan to the client the same day. Her efficiency eased the client’s anxiety and let them feel Topwon’s professionalism and sincerity.
Mid-May 2024: Alina Leads the Team, the Full Plan is Finalized
To fully meet the client’s needs, Alina led the design team. They combined the US pop-up store retail scene, tropical theme and the client’s environmental requirements, revised and adjusted repeatedly, and finally confirmed a one-stop corrugated cardboard display plan. Here are the key details:
1. Freestanding clothing racks: Made of lightweight corrugated cardboard, printed with full-color tropical patterns like palm trees and waves, matching the summer limited-edition clothes. They also had adjustable hanging rods to fit dresses, swimsuits, accessories and other items.
2. Window installation: A 3-meter-tall 3D paper art installation. We used corrugated cardboard to make simulated palm trees, tropical flowers and brand LOGO background walls. It looked eye-catching, was designed for passers-by to take photos, and was both beautiful and easy to spread.
3. Custom cash register: Integrated corrugated cardboard design, with both cash register function and storage space for inventory and packaging materials. It matched the overall display style, so no extra temporary cash register furniture was needed.
4. Modular design: All displays used a snap-on structure, so they could be quickly assembled without tools. They could also be adjusted flexibly to fit flash sales, new product launches and other scenes during the pop-up store period.
5. Environmental materials: We used 100% recyclable corrugated cardboard throughout, fully meeting the client’s environmental concept. All displays could be recycled and reused after the pop-up store, practicing the concept of sustainable development.
During the whole design process, Alina updated the client on the progress in time, confirmed every detail repeatedly. She fully considered the client’s actual needs, from printing color and size ratio to installation convenience, and started mass production only when the client was completely satisfied.
June 2024: Quick Installation, the Pop-Up Store Opens Smoothly
After the plan was confirmed, Alina followed every link of production, quality inspection and logistics closely. She strictly controlled product quality and delivery time to ensure the displays arrived at the New York pop-up store on time.
When the displays arrived, Alina coordinated the installation team in advance. According to the preset plan, they finished installing all in-store displays in only 24 hours. They didn’t use any nails or glue, only relying on the snap-on structure of corrugated cardboard. It was efficient and convenient, perfectly meeting the client’s “quick installation” requirement.
On the opening day of the pop-up store, the tropical paper art installation in the window immediately attracted many passers-by to stop and take photos. Related topics spread quickly on social media, bringing a lot of natural traffic to the pop-up store. The in-store display layout was reasonable and beautiful, and the display effect of summer limited-edition clothes exceeded the client’s expectations. They achieved the preset sales target on the first day of opening.
After the opening, Alina didn’t slack off. She continued to follow up the use of the store, answered the clerks’ questions about the use and adjustment of the displays in time, and ensured the displays always kept the best display state.
July 2024: Pop-Up Store Ends, Great Results, Renewal Expected
The 6-week pop-up store ended successfully. The client fed back the project results to Alina immediately. This impressive report card made all of us very happy:
1. Great traffic attraction: The number of customers in the pop-up store increased by 28% compared with expectations. 70% of the customers came from the window installation. The exposure of related posts on social media exceeded 1.2 million, successfully driving the national popularity of summer limited-edition clothes.
2. Improved environmental reputation: All displays were 100% recycled after the pop-up store, perfectly practicing the client’s environmental concept, and helping the brand gain a good reputation of “sustainable fashion”.
3. Significant cost savings: The cost of the whole set of displays was 40% lower than traditional temporary decoration. At the same time, it reduced the labor cost of transportation and installation, saving a lot of budget for the client.
4. Sales target achieved: During the pop-up store period, the sales of summer limited-edition clothes exceeded expectations, successfully completing the brand’s promotion and sales goals.
The client specially sent a thank-you note to Alina, praising her for being professional, efficient and responsible throughout the process. She thought about every link carefully from demand connection, plan design to implementation, making them worry-free all the time. At the same time, the client clearly said that they would continue to cooperate with Topwon for future pop-up stores and new product displays, trusting Alina’s professional service and Topwon’s product strength.
