Cardboard Hook Display Rack Case Study for Pet Product Trade Show Promotion Display

Case Overview & Confidentiality Statement

This project cooperates with an American local pet supplies brand. We have signed a commercial confidentiality agreement with the client, so we will not release the client’s company name, brand information, trade show materials or related business data in this article. All renderings, product pictures and simulated on-site pictures in this article are only used to show product craftsmanship and display effects. They are not the client’s real customized racks, actual goods or real photos taken at trade shows, and are only for reference in this case. Our sales specialist Alina followed up and managed the whole project one-on-one. This record covers every standardized step of custom cardboard hook display racks, including inquiry communication, scheme design, pre-production sampling, mass production, quality inspection, export shipment and on-site application.

This American client sells pet toys, pet accessories and small daily pet goods. It takes part in professional pet product trade shows in the US and around the world every year. In previous trade shows, the client just piled goods loosely or used simple hanging nets for display. This caused messy goods, separated product categories, plain booth visuals and low brand recognition. The booth could not draw crowds among many competitors, which was bad for launching new products and getting buyer inquiries. Therefore, the client ordered lightweight, quick-to-assemble custom cardboard hook display racks. These racks were made for showing new items, building brand awareness and attracting buyers at trade show booths, to greatly lift the booth’s look and commercial display performance.

February 17, 2026 | Client sends official inquiry & project kicks off

On February 17, 2026, our sales specialist Alina received a formal custom inquiry from this American pet supplies client. The client made it clear that these display racks were mainly for trade show promotion, different from long-term in-store display. The key requirements were as follows: light weight for easy cross-border transport and carrying, tool-free quick assembly, multi-row separate hooks to hold different small pet goods, full-surface brand printing to stand out at shows, good cost performance, regular shape and stable load-bearing capacity for short-term frequent trade show use. Besides, the whole production and delivery needed to be rushed to match the trade show schedule.

Alina told the difference between trade show exclusive racks and ordinary store display racks right away. She sorted out all core demands, including usage scenes, matching product sizes, hook layout, printing needs, dimensions, order quantity and urgent delivery time. All demands were filed to prepare for later custom design, quotation and rush sampling.

February 18 – 19, 2026 | Trade show exclusive design, structural optimization & official quotation

Based on the pet trade show display needs of the American client, Alina worked with the design team to improve the rack structure. Since the client had many small and varied pet goods that easily got tangled, the team designed evenly spaced multi-row hooks to hang different items separately without stacking or tangling. We enlarged the front brand display area to highlight brand logos and new product ads for better exposure at crowded trade shows. Meanwhile, we simplified the whole frame to cut weight while keeping stable load-bearing, fitting cross-border delivery and fast booth setup.

The design team finished full structural drawings, layout drafts and trade show display renderings. Alina calculated all costs including high-strength cardboard, high-definition color printing, scratch-proof waterproof film, precise die-cutting, folding assembly and export standards, then provided a detailed formal quotation. After efficient communication and small visual adjustments, the client confirmed the full design plan, drawings and quotation, paid the deposit, and the project officially started.

February 20 – 24, 2026 | Finalize print files, pre-production sampling & sample confirmation

The client sent brand logos, trade show posters and other custom files. Our designers carefully checked picture resolution, color parameters, text layout and image proportions to avoid blurry printing, color difference and misplaced layout, making sure the prints looked clear enough for trade show display. After confirming the color drafts, the factory started pre-production sampling, making blank structural samples and full-color finished samples.

During sampling, we focused on testing three key trade show performances: hook load capacity for small pet goods, overall standing stability, and easy folding assembly. We simulated frequent touching, long-time hanging and heavy foot traffic at trade shows. Alina tracked the whole sampling process, sent sample close-up photos and assembly videos to the client, and adjusted layout details according to the client’s suggestions on visual effects. Finally, the client signed off on the sample, which became the unified production standard for mass goods to guarantee consistent quality and display effects.

February 25 – March 5, 2026 | Mass production & special full inspection for trade show use

The factory carried out mass production strictly following the confirmed sample, using high-strength cardboard suitable for export and trade shows. The complete production steps included cardboard cutting, high-definition four-color printing, waterproof scratch-resistant film covering, precise die-cutting and creasing, reinforced frame pasting and finished product trimming. Considering frequent touching and long-time standing at trade shows, we strengthened hook stress points and all edges to prevent deformation, bending and layer peeling when hanging goods, improving durability.

After production, the QC team carried out 100% full inspection for trade show standards. Workers checked every single rack’s size, structural stability, printing clarity, flat film surface, hook firmness and overall look one by one. All defective products were picked out and reworked. Every finished rack met the client’s high trade show display requirements and export quality standards.

March 6, 2026 | Sort finished goods, remote inspection & balance payment settlement

All qualified racks were folded flat and sorted, packed with independent moisture-proof bags then put into reinforced export cartons. Clear order labels were stuck on cartons to avoid mix-ups during cross-border transport. Alina took photos of mass finished goods, craft details and packing videos, and sent all materials for the client’s remote inspection.

The client agreed that the frame structure, printing effects and load-bearing performance fully matched the sample, and was satisfied with product quality and our rush service. The client completed the balance payment smoothly.

March 7, 2026 | Reinforce export packages & arrange rushed international delivery

To make sure the goods arrived on time for the client’s US trade show setup, Alina arranged priority rushed shipment. All goods were packed with extra protection and labeled with standard export tags, and shipped out on the same day after inspection. Alina sent the tracking number, estimated arrival time and delivery check reminders to the client, and tracked shipment updates continuously to guarantee on-time arrival.

March 13 – 19, 2026 | Goods arrive & client accepts delivery

After steady international cross-border transport, the goods safely reached the client’s destination in the US. The client checked outer package integrity, counted cartons, and randomly opened boxes to inspect finished racks. No damage, deformation or printing flaws were found. The racks had firm hooks and stable frames, easy to assemble, fully meeting display standards for the pet trade show. The client signed to accept the goods with no issues.

March 20 – 23, 2026 | On-site assembly & upgraded booth display

This cardboard hook display rack uses a tool-free folding design for fast and easy setup, which saved lots of time and labor for booth construction. The client’s staff quickly put together all racks, then hung different pet toys, hanging accessories and small daily goods on separate hooks.

The racks have clean and simple layouts that highlight brand visuals and separate goods clearly. They completely fixed the old problems of messy, layered-less displays with weak brand presence. The neat racks with bright brand prints greatly lifted the whole booth’s style and easily drew visitors’ attention at the trade show.

March 25 – 30, 2026 | Review trade show results & reach long-term cooperation intention

After the trade show ended, the client gave positive feedback on the display racks’ performance. The new display method made the booth look professional and neat, with all new products easy to see. More visitors stopped to look around, and inquiries about pet goods rose clearly. The client fully hit its goals of brand promotion and product sales at this US pet trade show.

The client highly praised Alina’s professional, efficient and flexible full-cycle follow-up service, as well as the racks’ great fit for trade shows and good cost performance. The client clearly stated the wish for long-term cooperation. It plans to keep ordering customized display racks for future US pet trade shows, new product launches and offline sales promotions.
